  1. Hi guys

i owe a ducati monster 795, it works fine until recently i'm having error code 0001 R.sw and it reboot my dashboard twice every time i'm trying to fire it up. There are tons of 0005 & 0008 r.sw information but not this.

anyone had any idea? thanks alot

  2. The .sw errors are usually due to a duff battery.

  3. Or battery connection perhaps??

  4. Hi Chrisw
I checked the battery voltage stays at 12v before firing up the engine & 14.1v after the engine starts. I'm not entirely sure what's going on with as this does not happen quite often, my best guess it would happen only if i leave the bike for 4 days without starting.

  5. i was thinking the same things as well, the voltage is fine so my best guess probably due to battery connection. if i plug out the battery connection, leave it for awhile then plug it back would it messed up the whole electronic system? I heard ducati electronics system are fairly sensitive

  6. At rest you should be getting 12.6v or above from a good battery

As Ducati electronics Guru @chrisw says, a 12v reading is actually really low, even though common sense might suggest that 12v out of a 12v battery should be fine, so you need to replace your battery immediately.
If you really want your bike to start eagerly, team up the new battery with a starting circuit cable kit from @Exige on here. These cables have less electrical resistance than the oem ones and allow more of the energy from the battery to arrive at the starter motor.
I have a cable kit fitted to my Ducati and it has transformed the way it starts in a way that just a new battery on its own failed to do.

  9. Good day @Kenjiwong, did you change your battery already, if yes did it solve the problem, thanks in advance and more power to this forum
