How Difficult/awkward

  1. Hi all

Bagged a magnesium clock surround for the 899

How difficult/awkward will it be to fit?

What needs to come off? Clocks/lights etc?
If I remove my clocks will they plug straight back in fault free?

    Thanks in advance

  2. I have no idea how difficult it will be to fit but the clocks should plug back in fault free, just remember to disconnect the battery first.

  3. Starightforward enough. No tricks, just remove mirrors, fairing, lights and clocks. Unbolt from frame, swap over rubber grommets etc" and rebuild in same order as you took it apart.

  4. Nice one thanks @nelly I've plenty of time to go at it. Hopefully should be OK :upyeah:

  5. Should plug in no probs, i had my dash changes under warranty as the screen cracked, all mileage and info was fine, it's from the ecu rather than the dash apparently.

  6. Half way there. The magnesium replacement is 33% lighter. Not replaced it for weight saving

  7. Hoover out your airbox while your there. Amazing the amount of crap that finds its way in there. Mine was full of leaves and bugs

  8. Yeah there were a few bugs in there. Wouldn't mind changing out that cheap ass paper filter..

  9. Back together. Not too difficult when you know how stuff clips together.
    Happy with the result. :upyeah:

  14. You'll need a long 6mm allen key to get the bolt that goes through the frame out

  15. O you've done it, good effort
