Ha, very funny. Don't blame you. I'll drop my bike over for you to keep you busy and out of the way. Damn considerate of me don't you think. Happy Christmas
Not a Superbike, but I’m also obsessive with cleaning my bike. I clean it after each ride and never ride in the rain. And I could not live without ACF50
Do you have to pull it apart to get it that clean. I find many surfaces inaccessible for cleaning properly.
It is a 900SSie, aircooled, so not so cluttered around the engine, but also more open and more susceptible to dirt from the road. I can get to most nook and crannies without taking off much, but my season is only about 6 months long and in the winter it is stored inside with as much taken off as possible, and during these months it gets cleaned thoroughly. Sometimes, during the season, I take off the fairings, seat, exhaust etc. to get better access. And, my cleaning is really with cue tips and paint brush. I don’t think it can be more OCD than this But really, the thing that makes it possible to keep it in this condition is cleaning after each ride and newer ride in wet/rainy conditions.
Well, I do, I just also clean it. For me it is half the fun to keep it in this condition. And, the bike is a hobby and passion, something I only ride when the weather is good and I have time. For this you can be OCD. It is not a daily transportation that I try to keep in mint condition. This would not be possible.
Nowt wrong with keeping the bike in tip top condition, another benefit is that whilst cleaning you may spot an issue, something coming loose/a leak or something like that, I would suggest keeping a winter hack as well though to enable year round riding , in my case I got a CBR1000F for £600, grand old bus!, anyway your bike is a credit to you.
