996 Termi Lambda Port

  1. Does anyone know the thread pitch for the O2/Lambda ports on a Termignoni 50mm system, circa 2001 to suit a 996. Although I expect other models have the same port.

It appears to be around 9mm with a thread pitch I couldn’t confirm to be metric.

  2. No Lambdas. Them CO take off points for diagnostics

  3. Thanks Chris. I am aware the bike doesn’t have lambda sensors. I am just asking so I can connect some m18 Wideband Sensors via adaptors for tuning. I am hoping someone knows what thread those ports are.

  4. They are something like 1/4” bsp thread. A better route would be to weld in some 18mm bungs on the link pipes.

  5. I want end up with something I can use on multiple bikes. I guess adapters are the way forward.

  6. 1/8 BSP, I had to run a tap through one of mine as it was too tight and and would probably have stripped either it or the plug if I had persevered.

  7. Cheers for that. I was becoming certain it was 1/8 BSP. Thanks for your confirmation.
Can I ask if you were connecting Lambda sensors via these ports? I’m concerned that the sensor being out of the exhaust and therefore direct immersion in exhaust gas wil result in either incorrect readings or much slower response times - if it works at all.

  8. No, I only remove them for sticking a CO meter up there to get a reading for mixture trim. The reason I had to get a tap in is because I lost one of the plugs - must have fallen out? Actually you could hardly tell it was missing, it didn't really seem any louder and ran fine, I only noticed when I felt the hot air blowing so I'm not sure how long it had been missing.

I got a replacement but it was difficult to get in as the threads in the pipe must have been damaged or clogged? but it was fine after I ran a 1/8 BSP tap through it...
