I had "connection was reset while trying to open page" for abou half an hour last night. Only when actually trying to open threads. I could access the forum and different sections but not open threads. All seems fine this morning.
This site is frequently not working on either my work (pc) or home (mac) computers. Only place it works is on my iPhone. Giving up tbh.

I have never had any problems with this site . My son works in I.T. and every time he is home he "cleans it up" as he says and my mac goes into over drive. I think that lots of problems are caused by home pcs not working as they should.
The only problem I've had has been the blank threads and it's been happening for a few days....mainly on a night, but still randomly, but maybe when the server is busy. And it's happened on my iPad, iPhone, PC and Mac, the only thing I've not tested on is Android....but I've just bought another android tv so I'll test on there when I get round to setting it up. Removing the tapatalk push plug in definitely helped with the speed tho.
Lol "How to win friends and influence people". Blank pages Rob. I get it everytime I try to access at work on the PC (the site is allowed at my workplace). On the Mac at home, the same problem. You get a blank page. typing this on the iphone.
At this end, every click to load page or go back, submit a post or log-in etc etc, results in a really slow load of the fresh page..... Don't know what is causing it......generally any other website is OK. Tried IE and Firefox, no difference. Neither does changing to another PC make a difference. Wired, not wireless connection. PC is fast / big and clean....only thing I can think is the AV for some unknown reason doesn't like the look of the site, so it spends more time checking it. I'll try disabling the AV for a while. Nope......No good. AL
I almost never have any problems with the site. It seems fast and reliable to me. I usually use it with a Mac and Safari. Recently Tapatalk on the iPad didn't want to play ball with it - don't know why - but it was happy enough with Tapatalk on the iPhone. May I say thanks for the tweak to the Settings page. Now when you hit the back button after viewing a thread, the one you've just viewed is removed from the list of those you haven't yet viewed. This is quite a plus. Well done that man.
Often I lose the ability to reply/type and just need to reload the age to correct it. but recently I have had to tap one letter at a time in reply as it keeps dropping my keypad off as if I pressed the done or smiley button?? Using ipad 3 safari
iPad and this site is naff for me, cant post any image links? The reply box never works often have to switch to advanced? And often V E R Y slow on the ipad, all my PC's are fine and droid devices ok too.. IOS6.1
Thanks all. Keep the feedback coming. Arth, I'm going to try to find why this bug is happening on iPad/iOS devices. I get the occasional error where I cant add a new reply on iphone (well, the keyboard wont pop up when I tap quick reply). As for the site white pages, this is a current known bug and it is to do with page caching on the server. Hopefully today we have managed to fix it, as well as increase the site speed slightly. Certainly feels faster my end loading pages. We are hosted with one of the best hosts in the UK so I'm confident we can get this site running amazingly well. Cheers, Rob.
Rob, glad to report that the site is now working on my home Mac (Safari 6.0.2) whereas it was not before this weekend. Will check tomorrow at work on the PC.
