If it’s been sat a while, I could easily see a £2k service recommissioning charge in there.

Sat for 2 years. £2k would represent a major job.

I'd take a chance on the bike at a fair price. Put it into the dealer and ask them to do a belt and fluid change service and leave it at that. That's about £350. If they found anything, I'm more than capable of doing any work myself.

I don't know what the service interval is on valves, but that's mileage dependent anyway.

If I was selling it and someone told me they wanted £2k off for a service, I'd tell them to talk whilst walking.

Exactly!! Any serious enquires for my bike have been met with a price that I want for it.....he must have a price in mind!!
