Sat for 2 years. £2k would represent a major job. I'd take a chance on the bike at a fair price. Put it into the dealer and ask them to do a belt and fluid change service and leave it at that. That's about £350. If they found anything, I'm more than capable of doing any work myself. I don't know what the service interval is on valves, but that's mileage dependent anyway. If I was selling it and someone told me they wanted £2k off for a service, I'd tell them to talk whilst walking.
Exactly!! Any serious enquires for my bike have been met with a price that I want for it.....he must have a price in mind!!
There you go....if he's given you a price & you're happy to buy at that price...buy it!!! It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!!
We only have a ball park not a firm figure, but we both want it to be fair hence I was asking a general consensus opinion to see.
