  1. Hopefully here’s some photos of mine on the bike. Bungee under the seat unit and one under the number plate bracket.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  2. Embarrassingly, I travel like a flaming girl and take shit loads, so panniers plus the Givi or Kriega should do it.

  3. Without sounding like I work for them, I’m completely satisfied with mine (I don’t work for them or sell these).

  4. The pictures weren’t great. The front bungee is just under the rear seat, the rear bungee goes all the way under the bike. I’m sure you’ll figure it out.

  5. Cheers yooz, will order some of them too.

  6. Enduristan is excellent gear as well. Rok straps best for securing anything to anything on a bike.

I'm getting this set up for the 1190. Prefer the idea to bulbous panniers and it gets round the exhaust problem without the use of expensive frames:

  7. +1 for rok straps for touring. Bungees for commuting and shopping. The Givi works well with both. The bungees are ok up to motorway speeds, no issues bringing it back from the NEC 2 years ago with clothes and a new Shoei helmet inside (110 miles on the M6). But I use the roks now if I’m going touring with something substantial in it.

  8. Kriega for me. I’ve a couple of the US-** models. I also have a Hein Gericke rolltop. It’s just a dead simple bag with no straps etc. One handle on the side for carting and passing your straps through.

I always keep a couple of rokstraps on the bike. Impulse purchases can no longer catch me out.

The wife and I were out on the bike and randomly came home with a load of sofa cushions. I think she was trying to prove cars are better but I was detirmined to prove I could get them home.

I’ve also got a couple of black kitchen cupboard handles screwed to the top lid of the top box. That gives me a good mounting point for extra luggage that don’t look as awful as those proper racks.

  12. I think I'll contact Bob Geldoff also to see if we can do a concert and call it oil aid:upyeah:

If you do use bags, straps and bungee's, if they are very close to body panels they some heli tape on the panels should protect them in the short or long run.

  13. So whats the general consensus on a week away.... 30-40L?

  14. Ortlieb flexible pannier bags on frame, with dry bags strapped down on pillion seat using Rok-straps. All of these companies are now copying the German manufactures design of a rolled up clipped seal.
