1200 DVT Which End Can Do I Go For ?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Rivercop, Jan 24, 2018.

  1. Looking to get an end can for the DVT (Will Decat when I've got more money). Must be black and work with panniers.

Looking to see if anyone has used these before and if you would rate them, also any ones I'm missing looking at. My budget is £400. Pics attached of the ones I'm looking at.

The cheapest option is the Arrow end can (£314). Followed by the MIVV carbon (£360). Not sure how carbon cans stand up to twin exhaust pulses ... Heard of quite a few splitting within months. Finally the expensive MIVV SUONO end can (£414). Like it, but it's just a bit over budget.

    Please don't taunt me with your £1000 Termi's !!

  2. If you can hang on til the euro collapses, hang on, as you’ll get a system for £450 :upyeah:

  3. Yea but then all the manufacturers go out of business and there's no one left to make them.

  4. Nah...just need the rate to increase to €1.35 to the pound

    May be a while ;)

  5. Btw arrow cans look and sound nice, that would be my call, carbon longer can

  6. Never had an arrow can before. I have a MIVV on my old Daytona and that did sound very nice. Not too bothered about the length.

  7. I had a Suono on my 2010. It was OK but sounded rather harsh. I got a clone map at RJS but it didn't make much difference and he said that the MIVV decat pipe was not very efficient and lost power. They may have changed it since then. @Kirky also has a Mivv though his can shook itself to pieces. I now have a full Arrows with the Works can which I recommend.

  8. Or shop in America $1.425

  9. Import tax etc

  10. Yes, every month :upyeah: 2.7%
    Vat as normal.

  11. I have this one ...

Although, I bought it along with the decat pipe, sounds very nice indeed ( baffle out of course ; )

Or there’s the cheaper Arrow Indy race can, but that’s a bit shorter than the ‘works’ can, probably quite a bit louder without the baffle in
Remember though, without fitting the decat pipe, you will have little difference in noise.

  12. When most have fitted their cans, has the ecu compensated or have you had to download maps to get the best out of them?

  13. I spoke to Moto Rapido, no maps available ( for Dvt )
Idles a little quicker on start up with the decat & can, but no negatives to mention

  14. There is if you take the cat off. It pops like shit every throttle off. Ive fitted a rapidbike to mine which has helped after a bit of faffing. If you take the cat off be aware it will pop . A LOT

  15. It's only the end can at the moment I'm looking to do.

My Duc guru said just an end can will be adapted for, but like Blackie said it would pop n fart with a decat without being dyno'ed.

  16. Ive fitted the Arrow can & decat !
It doesn’t pop & fart at all, sounds lovely on the over run
Runs fine, it’s not over fueling
I’ll say it again, as of October last year no one has flashed the multistrada Dvt ecu ie- no maps
There are quite a few of us on here running the decat & can, with no issues

  17. You cant map a DVT. No one has. Well, no one who's honest has ;)

Think you may be able to add an aftermarket piggyback thingy tho

  18. +1 My decat Arrows system doesn't pop and fart, more a pleasing grumble on decel. As stated, there's no modified map for the DVT and in my experience the Arrows doesn't need one. I don't think there's any increase in BHP or torque, there may even be a reduction, but who can tell, or care, when there is so much more power available than you can sensibly use on the road. What you certainly get is several kilos weight loss and a great sound.

  19. https://www.scproject-shop.com/ducati_multistrada_1200_2015_e.htm

These currently about £465, however they look good. Quality is excellent as I had the full system from SC Project on my previous 2008 Hyper 1100S. Looked and sounded ace. I am in the same mind as you “Rivercop”. The oval shape is real nice too and not too long. Think this will be my choice for the Multi
