Thanks. I use one of these for whichever bike isn't using the optimate plug-in: https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/206242 The oxford works well, but I see yours does a lot more. Is there anything wrong with using the oxford one? I noticed the oxford one doesn't mention anything about charging protection?
I've not investigated any further as I've mains power all over my place, but the Oxford one appears basic.
Yep, my mate does this. He also runs a light bulb off his old knackered battery and keeps it charged with this.
Sorry, didn't read the thread but I keep my batteries charged using the mains power plumbed into my garage.
I have the aldi solar charger, so far so good. I think it was £29.99. I can't find the actual one but if I remember correctly it is 10w. Kept my battery charged for the past 11 months, fires up first time.
As per Timberwolf.... Solar trickle charger which I leave connected at all times even though power is available.
This is identical to the two I have. One for bike, one for van. Bargain.! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Solar-Pow...397474&hash=item5d528d7282:g:XUwAAOSwALtac2oR
