For Sale The Ultimate Panigale V4 Registration ?

Discussion in 'Parts, Accessories & Clothing For Sale' started by Android853sp, Mar 4, 2018.

  1. Through a close friend, I was introduced to the current owner of the registration (on retention) V4 DUC. At the asking price of “offers in the region of £7500”, it is more than I am prepared to pay but who knows, there may be some interest on here. PM me your preferred contact details and I will pass them on. I have nothing to gain from introducing a potential buyer so responses containing misplaced forum humour, banter, sarcasm, expressions of disbelief and cheap shots will just result in me asking for this post to be deleted. 2. its a lot of money to spend on pose value but just might help you find your bike in the bike park,,, but maybe the bikes worth it:thinkingface::upyeah:

  3. You would have thought a Desmosedici owner would like that - has he been waiting for the V4 mass production bikes before selling or did he have it on a Desmo? Cool plate... (serious comment - do not delete) :)

  4. Can't see it changing hands at that price tbh. Not when it was probably only £250 or so from the DVLA.

  6. Great plate for a Desmo. I'd say it's priced about right. Plates, like a lot of things in life, are worth what someone is willing to pay. And I'll bet you a Desmo owner will snap that up quick sharp.

  7. If someone buys that for £7500, can his mate buy 'V4 TOO' for the £900 its available for and park next to him each time :)

  8. The OP did say 'offers in the region of' so a bit of 'negotiating' maybe.

  9. Owned for 10 years and whilst I know he had a Ducati, that part of the conversation was during a works christmas do that I didn’t drive to ...... Andy

  10. Not really. The D16 is an L4, not a V4.

I had D16RRL on mine. Bought and sold the plate for £750 IIRC. Don’t think V4 DUC is worth anymore than that.

  11. Yes really. Who the fuck would know what D16RRL means other than Ducati/motorbike enthusiasts? V4 DUC is an infinitely cooler plate serving a much wider audience. And that’s what private plates are about. Vanity, showing off.

  12. Showing off to who?

Are you saying your average punter could spot a Ducati in a lineup and also differentiate between a 1299 Panigale and a V4 Panigale?

Sorry, don’t get that. Bike plates have limited appeal because bikes have limited appeal. It’s not F50 or M3 BMW
