Yeah I reckon circa 65+ would be too much, but you may get lucky at 61 or 63 etc, then it saves you re doing it mate. I know logic dictates undo it and start again, but you could be wasting your time if its ok eh ??
Winding it off without a clutch may be an issue. It says to put in 6th and have a mate stand on the rear brake but I didn't know if the lack of clutch will stop the system from locking up to undo.
I assume as I'll be removing the sump and side casing once I've flushed the engine I don't need to bother 3-Bonding it?
Ah OK. I'm not sure mate, I thought the sump when refitted would not need anything other than a standard but new sump gasket?
it dosen't have a gasket, nor does the side case, it's just the liquid gasket and precision Japanese Engineering. So i'm wondering if i can skip the sealant while flushing as it'll be removed after 10 minutes of running.
Couldn't shift it. I tried to wedge a tyre iron in the old cluthc basket and hold it form but it bent the tyre iron.....
That would suggest it may be well over 59nm then? 59nm is only about 45 foot pounds and shouldn't be bending things me thinks?
As said before, if it was a high as 65, maybe even 70, but as it's as tight a you say, I'd be tempted to get it undone, as without being there or knowing the engine, could it not be squashing seals etc behind?
It's your shout creamy, you're the one there to make the judgment call. If you're happy, crack on and flush with a new oil, very best of luck mate, hope all is well.
Cheers, i'll give it a go once the new clutch is fitted but i'm 50/50 if I'll do more damage trying to shift the thing!
Maybe late to the party? On the blackbirds Honda say semi but a few owners who thought they knew better than Honda put in fully synth and then had clutch issues
I remember that too noob's , one of my mates "knew better" back in about 2005 and he did indeed have issues.
