  1. The fans are simply an upper set limit USL and not a nominal, which the upper limit UL being the maximum designed temperature, which is higher than the USL of course

  2. The sensor is really in the best place to measure the water temperature.... outward flow from the engine...

  3. I've just read some articles on car radiator design o_Oo_O..... I need a lie down now...:scream::sleeping::sleeping:

  4. Of course but the op was taking it off the engine casing...

  5. Arrghh... I missed that bit.

  6. My car only shows oil temp, not water temp but once it rises to the design temp of 100C, it just stays there, never varying until you switch off.
My 999 water temp varies from 65C on an open road to sometimes 110C in bad traffic.
Consistent cooling doesn't appear to be a high priority for Ducati design engineers.

  7. yip, both mine sit around 70c on the dash. the air cooled one taking considerably longer to get out of the *low* reading.

  8. What does the air cooled be go up to???

  9. You have an air cooled car and bike.... how old are these wonders of engineering?

  10. Got to be "all the way to 11" ..... please be 11.

  11. yip, but only when played in "E" minor....
cant mind old rider, i rarely get tuck in traffic, sure i have seen it around 110c

  12. an old spinal tap joke brw. :upyeah:
