  1. Gents. I want to get the metal part of these throttle body manifolds coated....coated says the lowest heat he can cook is 70 c

Can anyone tell me what they can take. I'm assuming they're glued on in some shape way or form..

  2. Don't know if they'd stand up to coating? Personally I wouldn't risk it and would use spray paint.

  3. My personal experience of anything rattle canned eventually falls off so I'm looking for a more durable coating that cleans up well...

  4. Will be some kind of TPE/TPV polymer and fine at 70C - how long is the process? I guess you will mask it?

  6. could try a plasticote instead? Seems pretty tough, and cant imagine that parts gets too hot?

  7. The temp above the engine of a full fairing 4 valve is often more than 90 deg in traffic so it should laugh at 70 deg.

  8. Nah. These will be cerakote. Planning on getting the engine done in xylan...

  9. Did my ktm 525 3 years ago in xylan....still looks like new...you get what yer pays for...
