Oz Wheels

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by Desmoquattro, Apr 16, 2018.

  1. Well they arrived, delighted and skint. Been a long time coming and total selfish indulgence but had to be done as the bikes a keeper.

  9. thanks :) , but you've done the right thing and bought a new set. There's always something iffy about paying nearly new money for a set of questionable origin mag rims off of ebay just because they're period.
also yours will be forged rather than cast which counts for an awful lot.

  10. Piegas are aluminium not mag.:D

  11. fair enough, , I just said better than buying questionable mags.

You'll find as well that they're as light as the mag wheels I had anyway due to modern manufacturing methods :)

  12. At one point I had considered getting some Mavic split rims but the condition of some of them is ropey due to age and they are still very expensive. Heavy too.
    Delighted with the OZ

  13. mine were brand new. I took them out the box four years after purchase and they were corroded to fuck. Even after refurb the rear still lost 3 or 4 psi every week. You done the right thing :upyeah:

  14. I looked at Carbon, Mag etc and for the cost these made the most sense. Carbon, although the lightest, were nearly a grand more!
