Inconsiderate Bikers.

  1. Anyone else seen this....?

So, trundling along to work this morning. Roll up to the lights, guy in front on a zz1440. Wearing a pair of shorts and trainers....yep, on a rocket ship...he eyes me up in his wind mirror, lights go green and he takes off, i bite a little and stay with him. Down the end of that bypass he goes left onto the a4174 (essentially a collection of bypasses linked with roundabouts).

I stay behind him, straight away he's hanging on the tail lights of a car, so much so, that the car driver (right or wrong tries to get out of the way), indicates left, and then almost crashes into the car next to him, so, accelerates a bit, then goes left into the slower land and flashes his hazzards to the car behing (the one he almost went into), The biker goes past, lears in the window and starts making gestures to him.

At this point i felt sorry for the car driver. He was minding his own business, gets pressured into moving and then almsot hits someone else. I followed for another 8 miles or so and he pretty well did this everytime he got behind someone. I, on the other hand just past in the slower lane, if i could. If theres heavy traffic and, if want to get ahead ill fiter through the traffic or, use an empty lane if its safe.

Really gets on my nerves as people like that shouldnt really be in charge of that kind of hardware....

  5. more often than not, its been other bikers that have nearly had me off or killed the wife and kids in the car.
the speed and acceleration is addictive tho, i get that.

  6. Perhaps it is time to avoid 'biting'.

Which is one reason why I bought a Harley.

  7. It's why I rarely ride on a weekend unless I am going somewhere specific such as a race meeting or an air show. Weekends are when most of them come out and families are out for the day a bad mix
Some of these seasonal riders seem to have the mindset that the suns out so this road is mine

  8. A few bikers using their speed and agility to engineer car drivers into cutting them up then protesting. Fugging drives me crazy. Another one, is a line of traffic joining a dual carriage way from a slip and the guy behind you also on the slip crosses the hatch and tries to block you. Then flashes you as you join the road

  9. Aah the good old A4174. Yes you see a few of them. Most of the commuter lot are ok, used to being on the road but come the weekend the tracksuit brigade head out on their "souped up" GIXXER/BUSA/BLADE/OMFG bikes.

They give the rest of us a bad name. Twats

  10. Passed a Hog rider in t-shirt and shorts yesterday after looking at a 2nd hand 999S near Peterborough. My immediate thought was twat. It was hot & it’s his personal choice and all that. But the NHS is full to bursting as it is. If he got knocked off wearing that stuff he’d take a lot of time & resources to sort out. Selfish?

  11. 2 days of sun and firmly into the ‘string em high for wearing t shirts’ brigade

Are you less of a knob for wearing out and still riding like that?

  18. Just drove around 1500 miles on French, German, Austrian, Slovenian roads in my van think my only real blemish was moving back into lane a tad soon in front of a lorry but in my defence the motors behind were flying towards me so I was clearing the path, I'm generally considerate I usually flash people in, I always look right round the corner looking out for bikes etc, slow down for horses and cyclists....i try not to be stereotypical Audi driver :)
