Hi all ive a 848.its kept on an optimate whilst not being used.the last two times ive started it up after 5 minutes or so it cuts out.its had a new battery recently.it doesnt coff or splutter it ticks over nicely.any ideas what it could be plz.i got it end of last summer and it had a service before i bought it.thanks very much from pete
It cuts the motor when you select a gear if the stand is down, sounds electrical possibly kill switch wiring or reg/rec?
Yes. You can short it with a paperclip to test it. Google sidestand bypass if you don’t know how, it’s pretty simple
My 848 has the issue with the sidestand switch. I did the paper clip bypass, taped it up and rode with no issues for many thousands of miles.
May not be the issue, but easy and wortha check. It may think you have the stand down while in gear. That’s normally the issue.
