  4. No problem, the point is you are supporting something you are comfortable with for your own good reasons, freedom of choice shouldn't be any reason to be unpopular. Each to their own. :upyeah:

  5. That's the law...we're abiding by the rules set out before us. Sometimes I wonder why we bother putting ourselves through the pain of dealing with all the naysayers. Thankfully, there is some normal folk out there who just like to take a punt on something...like going to bookies. You don't question their profit - they don't give anything to charity. It's simple, play or don't - just don't ruin it for everyone else because you have such strong opinions on how you may or may not run the competition with little to no knowledge on the legal implications.

And for the record, it's not my bike, I'm not a millionaire and I can't enter (unfortunately) - I'm just trying to do a job and at the same time raise some money for worthy causes. The admins for the forum pre-approved this post knowing it's not a scam. They know better than to endorse fake competitions. You can see us in the MCN mag and Pistonheads.

The bike is going to a lucky winner...for those of you who are positive and like the opportunity then we wish you all the best. We tried to make it as easy as possible but it is classed as a game of skill - apologies we're unable to help further.

  6. Are you still comparing yourself to the National Lottery - that was a bit unprofessional of you - people have opinions and are welcome to them surely without being called names - your company is set to make huge profits from what many would see as an unscrupulous business model - it is the line of work you are in, so learn to accept negative comments.

  7. Oi! It’s intelligence. Did you spell that wrong on purpose?? :joy:

  8. Scam is the wrong word. What I should have said was that it’s a rip off. It’s a lottery, and that’s fine. Don’t act like it’s a game of skill, or that the charity angle isn’t just to get some people who don’t read it carefully to assume all the proceeds are going to charity.

You just don’t like that some people have posted valid negative comments, ruining your advertisement.

  9. I am very complex

  10. If all the tickets get sold there’s circa £50-55k going to the charities, which is nice, and circa £160-£180k once prizes paid for going to the organisers, which is nice for them. I’m assuming some of 50p charge for entering, if the ticket is paid by a debit card, will be profit not cost?

Costs obviously have to come out of the organiser’s profits. Just curious as I know nothing about this sort of thing, does the charity angle get such promotions reduced or free advertising?

  11. Thanks for enquiring Masklin. The cost of running these competitions is significant usually up to 40%. The 50p goes to our payment provider (not us) and is the booking fee. The reasons for the charities are purely down to the fact the promoter makes a statement to support at least two charities with each competition.

    Thanks for taking part...

  12. Good luck to the gamblers. Considering uk charities have to only spend 4% of what they collect on the actual declared 'recipient'. I'm moving to the most trust-worthy charity option for 2019; me.

  14. We have just updated our payment provider to make it easier for entrants to buy their tickets. Thank you to anyone who has provided valuable feedback.

  15. Limited Tickets Available! ……………. :eyes:
Wow you have done well and people should really hurry to snap the last few tickets up

  16. Dude do you have nothing better to do than to post negative comments? Seriously...

  17. Are you saying you are lying about there being limited tickets left
Actually I have just read your terms and conditions and to be quite honest, they are appalling and I don't think many would partake if they had read and understood them  have you read them?

  18. The answer is no then to my last, good night.

  19. You haven't then? :)
I suggest people read them carefully before entering...
