Hi all, I've just replaced the pads on my one and only front brake caliper on my 800 Scrambler but I can't find any values for the torque when tightening the retaining pin. When I went to undo the pin, it was hardly tightened, very little effort was required. I've looked at the Scrambler workshop manual but there aren't any values for it so was wondering what other people have done for their modern Brembo brake caliper pad retaining pin? Thanks.
Not sure on the Scrambler but on other bikes I have had it's very low 10NM. If you over tighten the ones with an allen key head they can be a pita to get out.....trust me I know from experience.
It's a torx head on mine. I spoke to the owner of a local bike garage who used to work for Ducati and he just nips them up so will be around 10nm I reckon. I've put a small amount of copper grease on the thread to stop any seizing.
