my 900ss has a standard halogen bulb fitted, gave quite a yellow light, swapping to a “super-bright” bulb has fixed it, now very bright white light, I never ride at night so it’s to be seen by not see with, cheap upgrade.
I’ve fit an LED bulb in place of the crap halogen in the KTM. This Saturday I’m getting some new rubber fit and plan on asking the guy what his views would be come MOT time. If he thinks it’s an issue, i’ll Change for the MOT and switch back. I ride a fair amount at night, have adjusted it so I don’t get flashed. It’s unbelievable, so much better.
It’s a 2013 with a standard candle light halogen. My MOT tester is a pretty level guy. Talks you through any MOT advisories and is very good. I’ll see what he says Saturday.
