Just because it hot this year doesn't mean it will be next. You'll need your blanket to keep warm on a picnic one of these days...
They are doing the right thing Ian. It will be delivered on Friday Things like that do a huge amount for customer relations.
Great news about the Seal! Hope Moto Rapido know it's changed spec if that's the case Now about these buses and posh people... Once knew a guy who worked for James Dyson called Vyvyan Rose, his £Billionaire dad put him in England after Uni for work experience - rented him a house on the Crescent in Bath! Got him the job with James. I used to go out drinking with him a lot on expenses . We once were meeting a couple of Design Engineers in the Hobgoblin pub in Bath and I told him they were coming in on the Bus. He looked totally bemused so I said you know what a bus is? It's like a limo but taller.... he replied that of course he knew what a Bus was, but they only go between Bath and London don't they? He was a laugh a minute without even trying, many fond memories of that time
My brother-in-law has bought a new Bentley (don't even bother, I don't get a penny from him) which had defects when delivered. The boot remote didn't, switches fell out-must have been a crap PDI. They sent a recovery truck 400 miles to pick it up, and the same to return it! 1600 miles total. Unfortunately, they didn't remember to disable the tracker, which resulted in him being telephoned at God-awful-in-the-morning by the security service....
Well my wife took delivery of the Supersport yesterday while out was out on the Pantah at the VMCC Scottish National Assembly of Vintage Motorcycles (as expected it píssed rain all day and I've just spent 2 hours this morning cleaning it). It turns out that the dealer has replaced every gasket and seal on both cylinders from the cylinder base upwards. This is not a minor job as the frame, rear suspension and rear subframe are all bolted to the cylinder heads. They said the did an extensive test ride to ensure that everything is OK (43 miles according to the odometer) but the bike has come back sparkly clean and with a full tank of petrol so full marks to them despite having it for nearly a month. Unfortunately the unusual hot dry spell we have been experiencing for the last couple of months appears to have come to an end. Just in time for me getting the Supersport back. Torrential rain with thunder and lightning on Friday night, heavy showers all day yesterday, drizzle today so far and more rain predicted for tomorrow. So it looks like it could be Tuesday before I get to try it out properly
Keeping fingers crossed for finer weather Tuesday. Hopefully it'll cover my area too, I've not been out for a week now, and in addition I still have 3 acres of hay to make...
