Ok silly question has it been serviced at the same main dealer ? Will they contribute or take as a trade in against new vehicle ( 50% contribution taken in to account ) Used to work at Renault ( a while back) but desperate for new reg so maybe s deal worth looking at.
It's bought used from Renult with the balance of warranty, has full main dealer service history.(last one this time last year by us)To be honest I don't think they had to offer anything. The main problem I have is explaining where the money's come from to Mrs T !!
I am looking at other less painful funding options... think she's going to chop it against KIA with a monstrous 7 warranty eventually, once that's done a second bike won't get much more than the odd snide comment.
She's very anti Renult now, customer service has been poor in getting back. (wanting us to remove car from workshop etc) Started with £9k for engine in £6-7k car & zero contribution. After nearly a month we have a estimate of £5k + + vat & 30% Renult UK, 20% main dealer contributions. Sorry for posting on wrong page, it was not ment to become a car discussion.

Think they want around £2700 + vat. Found engines for around £850, but time I pay someone to sling it in & then trying to unload car with unknown egine in it. My try & make her see sense with pcp swop with Renult.
I shall never ever drive a Renault again. I had a Clio SL a while ago. Electric windows. The mechanisms kept failing (nylon pully snapping). A tiny part but you had to replace the entire unit. Three times it happened at £300 a pop. No contribution from Renault. A few months after I ditched it Renault admitted a fault in the design and started replacing broken units FOC. Bastards!

Engine install can't be more than £500, its a like for like swap. So get that done just not at a main stealership. You then offer to split the cost with the ol lady 50 / 50. On the day of collection you COULD surprise her with the story of the wedding vows renewal BS and insist on paying the whole amount. Wifey keeps the car, no need for another purchase at all. Then in a couple of months you buy a bike "cheap from a mate at work who is emigrating, its end of summer prices are low" etc etc. Job done?
