MrsH and I have decided to throw a party on Sat 20th April after the Bristol Italian Auto Festival. We are just off J25 of the M5 about 45 mins from Bristol. We have a few spare rooms in the house, plenty of storage for bikes, a double garage with kitchen and bathroom alongside and accommodation upstairs with room for 20-30 people to sleep if you bring a roll-up mattress. Alternatively if you can't face the whole communal thing then there is a very nice B&B just across the road from us and room for tents on our lawn! Sunday we would plan to do a ride-out if people fancied it - probably over Exmoor to the North Devon coast - Minehead, Porlock, Lynton etc. finishing in time for people to get off in plenty of time on Sunday afternoon. If you fancy coming please let me know so that we have some idea of numbers!
The Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival is normally blessed with fantastic weather (last year being a very notable exception) so fingers crossed!
This sounds like a great plan. I have in-laws in Taunton and a friend with a 748 in Pawlett so I'd definately be up a trip to Bristol on the Sat and for the ride out on Sunday. Hopefully see you there
Excellent The Bristol Italian day is a great event, and in past years people have ventured down from London, Manchester and even further afield. This could be a good forum bash ... the more the merrier!
