Hi everyone, Selling my 1098 with only 6,100 miles on the clock. I bought it stolen recovered, lock barrel damage/ fuel cap damage and annoyingly the clock fairing bracket, and a couple of minor fairing marks. (Original pics and parts to show previous damage available) As soon as I got it September last year it’s had the following done: - New Genuine Ducati ignition barrel with 2 keys - New belts (belts from Exige on here, thanks Stuart!) - New Yuasa battery - New Ducati nose cone (Due to minor damage near RHS wing mirror) - New black aluminium clock fairing bracket - New chain and -1 on the front sprocket - New quick release fuel cap - New air filters - Oil changed regularly with Motul fully synthetic - Metzler M7RR’s loads of life left in them - MOT’ed till 10th July 2019 - New Renthal grips It came with Termi’s, ASV short levers, R and G tank protectors, R and G bar ends. (Standard cans and baffles included if price is met) It’s a great bike, I’m just missing the IL4’s to be honest. (Dangerous to say on here I’m sure). I was going to keep it for a track bike but it’s too good for that in my view. There’s a couple of small paint touch ups but nothing you wouldn’t notice unless you were really looking for them. It is registered as cat D, for cosmetic damage, no frame or significant damage. 2 keys for ignition barrel & immobiliser code. Priced reasonably at £5600 (updated) compared to similars on the market. Test rides welcome with proof of insurance and full asking price in cash. Based near York. Cheers, Tom
I think so too.... I also think it’s the “Cat D” that doesn’t help. And perhaps the lack of understanding around it. I’d honestly buy another cat D bike tomorrow at the right price. Bought from MCE insurers, low mileage. Yes it’s not immaculate but then it’s not £7k+.
My last 848 was cat d absolute non issue, I would buy in a breath, to be honest with it been cat d selling the goodies separately and the bike pretty standard will earn you more that's how I did it, a standard 1098 for £5600 sounds a bargain.
Can't believe a European buyer has not snapped it up, as sure as eggs is eggs he would strip it and sell....no cat d in Europe
Please close this off Mods. Termi’s off bike now, in the interests of not confusing buyers easier to close this off. Thanks. Tom
