What surprised me was just how little media attention was given to a resident called Eamon Zada. He had history of Fraud and had previously operated a credit card factory that swindled banks out of £1.6 million. In 2009 Zada was jailed for five years for a high-tech cloning operation that could intercept credit card details from phones. Four extra locks were fitted to his door and as police broke in with battering rams Zada was throwing credit cards from a window and trying to feed others into a shredding machine. After the Grenfell fire, the police were going through the flats and found he had set up a cannabis factory with 14 kilo's of Cannabis and 700gs of cannabis oil in his flat but also in his flat where multiple gas canisters. Ignoring the drugs for a moment, you do have to wonder how much of an impact gas canisters would have had on that fire and why it has been so under reported

The narrative was jumped on quite quickly by the anti government parties. They largely ignored the amount of illegal subletting which caused a huge amount of identification issues and delay, it seemed to gather an almost Sister Theresa aura in that the answer far from being a whitewash would more likely be a very one sided, half informed review. This is always the trouble when you have a very emotive situation, often people are too afraid to release all the truth so they release a review that will do the least community relations damage instead.
