As above - concentrating on getting my hyper ready for MOT and the obvious engine build and reassembly - the front left fork seal has gone so needs to be replaced. Ive got the seal. Is there anything special i need to know (special tools etc etc) or do they just come apart a la Ohlins...my rsv4 forks come to pieces pretty easily...
IIRC there is a funny screw think on the top, and easy enough to make a tool to get it off. Buts that’s older marz not newer stuff
Yeah - ive got one of those tools...i just wondered if there was anything special otherwise to get them apart...if no one is any wiser then ill be doing it saturday...and taking lots of pics...
Just be sure how it came apart. A dealer once serviced the Marzocchi forks on my 750 - I immediately broke them. My fault for not noticing that they weren't acting right.
There are a few You tube vids about stripping Marzochi forks. I searched for an Ohlins one before I changed the seals on them May be worth watching before you start
Yeah - i did go looking but cant find a specific video for my forks....i hope theyre like the ohlins ones as theyre easy to strip...
