  1. morning
Turned my 1199s on this morning but turned ignition off before dash booted up
Now I have a red light on the dash that won’t go out and ignition won’t turn on
    Any ideas

  2. Have you tried disconnecting the earth at the battery, turning on the ignition, then turning off and then re-connecting the battery?

  4. Have tried dissconnecting the battery leaving it for 1/2 or so still nothing the immobiliser light should flash but is on permanently

  5. No idea, you need a forum expert to happen along now. @nelly @chrisw ?

  6. That's a first.... Only thing I can think of is that at each key on, the immo system generates a new code and that is transferred to the key. Switching it off quickly, may have generated the code in the immo system, but not allowed enough time for that to be written to the key?
I'm guessing tbh as it's not one I've come across before. Try the spare key...

  7. From what I have read the bike uses a rolling transponder code on the immo. So it is a possibility it is out of sync. Can the bike be started by pin code to bypass the immo? That should allow the key acknowledgement system to realign.

  8. When I reconnect the battery the dash comes on for a 20 secs or so then goes blank
With ignition turned on imbolizer light stays on and you can’t start the bike
So not sure how to start the bike with a pin code but I have a feeling that what you said is correct about keys gone out of sync
How do I re sync the keys

  9. Been in touch with the dealer I purchased the bike from it's still under warranty so hopefully they are going to call me next week to arrange to pick the bike up and sort the issue

  10. Glad the dealer is coming to your aid, but a well designed immobliser wouldn't lock you out because you turned the key too fast...

  11. the old code one systems could cause the odd hiccup depending how quickly you turned the ignition on. occasionally the keys would come with the key transponders mixed up (red and blue key) red being the master key which you use to program the other two but i have never seen them screw up the dash.

  12. Dealer picked up the bike and has confirmed that the ignition failed and I need a new lock set with the cost to the dealer got a phone call today to pick up but have asked for the bike to be dropped off which they will do hopefully next so will be happy when I get the bike back in my garage
