Hello, I'm looking at options to fill the space left by my old monster. Ideally a 939 (non sp) for town, B road and local riding. I'm not in a massive rush, just ideally sorted before the end of the year but can move quicker if needed. So if any one is thinking of changing in the future, let me know. Thanks. Would also seriously consider a hyperstrada
Nice. I’m deffinately shifting towards the SP. although undecided on 821 vs 939. Also is that a kriega tank mount. 10 or 20 L?
I have both 30L and 20L When I brought the bike two years ago, I did the a two week tour of Germany, Switzerland and Italy This was my luggage for the two weeks
Nice, did you not think of the touring screen? Has it been a reliable bike for the 2 years. I saw some of your earlier concerns about fueling at lower rpms. I assume that worked itself out?
No I didn’t bother about the screen. Yes the fueling was sorted when I took it to a proper DUCATI dealer Ducati Aylesbury and not the muppets in London. It’s not 100% perfect but this is common with these bikes however I hardly notice it anymore. When I was on my tour a fault came up (Air Flow Sensor), this was when I was late and pushing through mt blanc tunnels the air was too thin and the bike cut out. I crawled to the border and never had the problem again. However the sensor was replaced under warranty when I returned. I test rode the 1200R and also the KTM Superduke so I just need to decide on which one.
might be getting rid of my hyperstrada 2015 18,000 miles. Has SC Project pipe, motard bodywork as well as original strada. Needs new chain & sprockets which I will fit before sold, and clutch cable which I have but haven't fitted. Probably be after about £4750
Coolhands, thanks for the offer. I’m probably swaying towards a standard or SP with lower mileage, over a strada. Nice though!
