916 Track-day Nose Cone

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by TNR, Nov 3, 2018.

  1. Quick question:

Do I need to remove the headlights to fit a race nose cone on a 748/916/996?

  2. Right, then.

    Cheers!

  3. Not always. I fitted mine over the lights without a problem.

  4. Different cones, different amount of room?

Is it a pain removing the lights? Probably the safer option as I'm a crap rider and chances of crashing on the track are high!

  5. Removing lights, once the nose cone is off anyway takes approximately 30 seconds.

  7. found out today how bad the 749 is compared to 748 to work on... the seat unit is a ball ache!!
in the same time id probably have all fairings, mirrors, seat, tank and head lights out offa the 48... progress huh?

  9. 848/1*98 is a fucking pain in the arse! I have modified my Fairings and seat unit to be quick release so I don’t need to take the exhaust and tank off to remove the seat unit!
