  2. Other Side Of The World - KT Tunstall
    Radio - Lana Del Rey
    Gibsom Street - Laura Nyro

    Steal My Sunshine - Len
    I Try - Macy Gray
    Lust - Magenta
Wholly Humble Heart - Martin Stephenson & The Daintees
    Teardrop - Massive Attack
    Porcelain - Moby

If you get a chance to watch the Len video, do so. It's kooky/cheesy but it gives off such an upbeat vibe.

  3. Stereophonics - video games
Foot fighters - best of you
Dire Straits - brothers in arms
    Nirvana - Lithium
    Bruce Springsteen - secret garden
Richard Ashcroft - song for the lovers
John Lennon - working class hero
    New order - crystal
    Train - drops of Jupiter
U2 - sometimes you can’t make it on your own

  4. Porpoise Song (Theme From Head) - The Monkees

You Get What You Give - New Radicals
    Carolina Skeletons - No-Man
She's Got Issues - The Offspring
Rip It Up - Orange Juice

Trivia: Murray Head is the brother of Anthony Stewart-Head, the actor. Murray also sang on "One Night In Bangkok", which is marvellous and FaF : o )
Also: That The Offspring song was written specifically for my second wife. I am certain of this.

  7. Roses - Andre 3000
    Sploosh! - Ozric Tentacles
    Willow's Song - Paul Giovanni
Let My Love Open The Door - Pete Townsend
Digging In The Dirt - Peter Gabriel
    I Won't Let You Down - P.H.D.
Remember A Day - Pink Floyd
Russia On Ice - Porcupine Tree

Limiting myself to one Pink Floyd and one Porcupine Tree was hard and hurt me a little : o )
Special mention for Willow's Song, which features from The Wicker Man soundtrack (original film)

  8. As no-one else has mentioned it, how about a random selection of jazz?

    1. West End Blues- Louis Armstrong
    2. Sweet Georgia Brown – Django Reinhardt & The Hot Club
    3. Cherokee – Bud Powell
    4. March Winds & April Showers – Wingy Manone
    5. Moonglow – Benny Goodman
    6. Dive Bomber – Pete Johnson
    7. How Insensitive – Stan Getz (a masterpiece of economy)
    8. Lover Come Back – Lester Young (1946)
    9. Gone with The Wind – Art Tatum & Ben Webster
    10. Hawaiian War Chant – Tommy Dorsey

A heads up above for Porcupine Tree.

  9. Nice one, never really tried jazz - will give them a listen

  10. After last night I would recommend Shed Seven and “Chasing Rainbows” :)

  11. Were they good ?

  12. This is a wide and eclectic selection, leaving out the "difficult" stuff. There may be some stuff you like and if you like an artist, try some more.

  13. I’ve seen them a few times. The last time being a year ago in Sheffield. But I have to say last nights gig was excellent..........the venue is great. Maximum 600 people, good bar and great acoustics and atmosphere!

  14. We have similar tastes and you can't beat good live performances. How can people talk through this performance:

  15. I believe that it should be legal to taze folk who chatter and hoot during quiet sections of the performance. They are fucking scum.

I attended a couple years back a Van Der Graaf Generator concert. Never experienced an audience like it, they shut their mouths until the song ended and then cheered their heads off. Literally astonishing display of good manners.
