Thanks got Spotify but because it is signed on through (my wife's) Facebook looks like I need to cancel and rejoin to get a proper password sign in
Wall mounted in each room (in this instance, behind the TV in the lounge). Controls lights (Hue), plugs (TP-Link), music (Spotify), home entertainment (Harmony Elite). You can have multiple accounts too so my wife can say “Alexa, switch account” and it switches to her account for her Spotify rather than interrupting mine.
You need only spend a day on Twitter to see that many of the predictions in this film have come true.
I had thought of installing these devices but for 2 reasons I decided to go against it (1) I am currently and blissfully without a nagging lady in my life and in no rush to change that in real or electronika (2) I am unsure what to do with all those extra seconds I might gain
My stepson has one which for which he uses the 'Echo' command. 'Echo'; 'Yes, how may I help?'; 'Order me some margarine'; 'OK, which brand would you like me to order?'; 'Echo'; 'Yes, how may I help?'.
Always eyes watching you and the voice enveloping you. Asleep or awake, indoors or out of doors, in the bath or bed- no escape.
I doubt I am ever going to be unable or unwilling to turn the lights on or off, choose what music to listen to, pick a radio/ TV station, use google, adjust the heating, or shop online myself. I have no desire to start talking to Siri, Alexa or Echo and I certainly do not want to be recorded by them 24/7.
He obviously doesn't know his smart phone is 'listening' to him as well..... I only got mine on Friday - didn't switch it on until Saturday morning - by lunchtime I knew what it was doing. I'm tempted to send it back and go on using burners.
