if it is just one......isnt (wasn't) that a bit wrong? shouldn't there be say 3 to spread the load, to provide support, to equal the decisions?

Yep, completly agree. Why too much going on for 1 person. Difficult for the sites owner to entrust the site to more than 1 person at a time.
I dunno, tbf most fb pages have loads of admins but a completely difference format albeit has many members.
Reading through what I can find on here recently, this seems to have been an emotive response to a build up of things. I can’t really speak with any authority for a guy I only know of through an internet forum, but he seems like a good egg to me. I used to work in a management role that involved internet advertising, data collection, moderation & online forums. I still use three specialist sports sites, a couple of music sites, a professional work forum & probably several others, as do no doubt, most of us. Without exception, the same issues of off topic rants, political agenda & borderline abuse always crop up. The net calls it keyboard warriors & we all know why. Although there has to be a limit, hence rightly the need for rules & moderators, there is no way of stopping it completely imo. Personally, I think the way this site is set up is great. If you want to go off topic, we have a section for it. It bleeds over occasionally into other sections but I can live with that. I came here to talk Ducati originally & mostly do, even now, but am happy to join in a thread on politics, hot women, fast cars, Diane Abbot (always worth a sit down & a cuppa) or anything else that takes my fancy. I don’t mind the strong opinions & those that post crap or actual abuse stand out a mile. Give them the rope I guess? Like others have said, I’m sure I wouldn’t be best mates with everyone on here in the real world but even if we are polar opposites politically, if you know how to fit a regulator to a 1098s, I’m going to want to talk to you & I like that we have people who can give & take some friendly banter, technical gurus that have genuinely helped me out on more than one occasion & a large group of people that really love their bikes. It takes a lot more than a few dodgy political ideas to upset me & the forum would quickly die if absolutely all we could discuss were our latest red (or yellow-sorry Ducbird) acquisitions. Anyhoos peace & love y’all & whatever you decide to do El T, thanks for accepting me here in the first place.
For me personally he is part of the ducati forum furniture/our john bercow and i would like to see him back in the chair PDQ ,plus also remember this is his baby as well with 67.000 postings/plus other shedloads over a six year period and also i have very much enjoyed reading his threads For the notable member that pushed him over the edge and not to apologise is a little unfair in my book.Terry get back onboard and bring your blunderbuss this time
