1299 Finally ( And Rather Unexpectedly ) My 1299s Has Landed

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by The Moosehunter, Apr 6, 2019.

  1. Good Evening Dave’s

Yesterday I picked up my very first Ducati and obviously very First Panigale. A beautiful 2015 1299s

All happened a bit quick last week but delighted to finally have taken the plunge after 4 long years of waiting

Look forward to being able to join in now on the forum rather than just lurk, and maybe meet up with any Southern UK folk

One very happy Panigale owning Moose

  8. You have run someone over in the first pic.

Enjoy the new toy, I have one too, where are you based as there’s a few of us West Sussex way that regularly ride out.

  9. Nice bike. Enjoy. :motorcycleduc:

  10. Cheers Dave

Get a bit of acquaintance time with the beast and would be well up for a ride out

I can confirm the anti - wheelie works .... quite a lot

  12. Welcome, the Moosehunter. She looks lovely. Perfect for the start of the season.

  13. Truly beautiful machine, on par with the MV 750 F4, IMO, took a 1299 for a test ride once, too fast for me!, congratulations :upyeah:

  15. Morning Moose, can you tell me in what way do the spacers improve the bike please?
It’s on my list of things to do and I’m interested to hear your opinion. Cheers

  16. Errrr lurker where’s my bins!!!:punch:

    You dropped your pillion too

    Looks lovely :)

  17. They take all the slack out of the twist action of the throttle. It’s one of my personal pet hates with any bike and was so pleased to hear when test riding a 1299 for the first time that the mod is readily available.

2 simple to fit spacers ( took me literally less than 5 minutes ) and now that vagueness has gone completely

Biggest benefit is instant throttle response when turning in and feeding in the power when cornering, without having to prempt the slack, and also pulling away is a lot smoother too.

One of those things you can kind of ride around if you have to but .... I now don’t have to.

Best £30 mod I believe I / you will ever do

    Hope that helps

    Moose

  18. That’s very helpful Moose, thank you.
I’m wondering if they may help the infamous stalling pulling away.
I shall purchase some forthwith. Cheers.
