After 12 months unable to ride, received surgeon's clearance to start slowly in 4 weeks. Any excuse for new gear! Shoei NXR, Astars Missile Tech-Air Jacket + GP Pro R2 Gloves, Draggin Nextgen Jeans and Axo Striker boots. Superccorsa SP 2's to be fitted when I can dawdle to the tyre shop.
I'm only just properly fit to ride again this year after nerve damage from a slipped disc - great feeling, nice one
I think my wife has sympathised/become bloody sick of me yabbering about missing riding and the bike being out of sight under ad dust cover in the garage. Plus I moved it in to the entry when she wsn't home (which was difficult cos of my joint issues) and once it was there ... it was there!
Loving that lid!!! 12 months of no riding would suck... I done 5 months 2 years back and I wasn't happy at all... The first ride I thought I'd feel nervous, but it turn out it's just like riding a bike!!! Tbh I wasn't nervous at all , I couldn't wait... it was ace... nearly as good as the first time ever on a bike... hope you get the same buzz and plenty of miles In..
Good to hear Dremmel, that's a long time out of the saddle. Take it slow to start, you don't want to be testing that new gear out. We both know what the local scouser drivers are like .
