Redundancy question.

  1. My, admittedly non expert view, on employment legislation is that for rank and file employees companies can do more or less what they like because the penalites are miniscule.

When we hear of massive redundancy and unfair dismissal payouts I always wonder what planet they live on, I guess it is all down to what is in the contract you sign. Above a certain level it really is about 'elites looking after elites'.

  2. Are you guys running SMB's going to be employing more staff because of the £2k NI rebate in the Budget ?

  3. I agree totally, but then I didn't vote for the posh boys. It was the "common man" that put them in to power.

I actually believe that there is sufficient and adequate legislation in place to cover what he is trying to achieve.

  4. I'll probably use it to offset a small part of the bill I'll be facing from having to pay pension contributions on behalf of staff who can't be bothered to set up their own pension provisions and take responsibility for their own lives.

  5. While we are on subject of pension. I have a plan running in Poland. In UK I would be able to get I think some of the tax back on contributions is that right? Can I do the same to foreign pension fund?

  6. Oi behave Luca
You want something for nothing all the time off you go back to Poland ya cheeky man ;-)

  7. What, they have much lower commission for obvious reasons. Free market and all that. As monthly payments are lower it would be less for gov then if I took one here.
