Perhaps we're due a change of summer weather then. The last few years have been mild and mostly dry through spring, and May, June and July a washout. Would be nice to have a dry summer for a change.
According to my next door neighbour's father, who's 89 and has been keeping weather records since Adam was a lad, he reckons that every year that we've had snow and conditions like this in late March and early April it's been followed by a long hot summer. If it doesn't happen this year I am going to throttle him :smile:
oh yeah... I remember now, didn't it get in the mid 20's, lasted a week.... Everyone went into summer mode...
back in the day, when real men still existed ,,,,, you lot will be moaning its too hot in 4 weeks time and you cant get your leathers on because they have all shrunk in your wardrobes
I didn't even bother getting MOT done when it was due earlier this month - for most of the time since, even if I wanted I probably couldn't have even got the bike out because of the snow where I live. 4 foot deep drifts across the road at the weekend - and not completely clear yet.
They are now saying another three weeks of this weather is due....... ..............I'm going back to bed until it's passed.......or would be better if I'm going to get p*ssed and go to bed?
Think how much credence you'd give them if they said the long range weather forecast was marvellous. Exactly. So no need to get too downhearted if they say its poor.
Looks like March is a write off!! Jan Feb and March have been write offs for me, Just one full weeks work since the new year and still can't get to work now. Seriously peed of with this weather now. Steve
It's quite telling that the last entry on the "Ducati Spotted" thread is from 13th March. Clearly we are all keeping warm at home
