Old Rider Down

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Old rider, Jul 7, 2019.

  1. My beautiful 999 is now scraped to hell.
I got flicked off having locked the back wheel after deciding to abort an overtake.
Maybe the EBC HH pads were a bad idea after all - the old pads would never have locked the rear wheel...
Got away fairly lightly, main injury is a separated clavicle which will hopefully get wired back to the shoulder blade in the next few days.

  3. Ouch, hope you have a speedy recovery mate o_O.

Bugger about the bike, but at the end of the day it's just metal and plastic and you walked away, that's the most important thing.

When things start to go pair-shaped on a bike, they go wrong pretty quickly don't they? Been there done that .

Hope your back on the road soon.

  8. Get well soon, regarding your rear brake, it must be nice to have one, I only normally use mine at lights to stop me rolling back on hills, it wouldn't do that today though, it's never failed in the past so that's tomorrow's job, if I can find the time. ;)

  19. What a bummer. Glad you’re relatively ok and can tell the tale. Get well soon, keep posting and get yourself back riding ASAP.

As for a claim, price it up yourself first and see if it warrants it or not. Your a clever fella, you can figure it.
