I love my job if it's helps. If I'm stressed I have a cuppa and play with which ever bike is closest.
Consider a different approach. CBT or MIND course. I used to suffer badly with stress in a previous job....It really aint worth it.
I can relate to this in jobs gone by. Sleepless nights and weight loss is massive stress, way too much. You need a break, let it go. maybe change something. You wont think you can, but in reality no one around you at work will give a f... TB
That's a real trait and something people don't have nowdays. It's a passion. don't beat yourself up about it as it means your care, again in this world not many want to show this weakness, but actually it's a strength . Persevere because it's clearly a drive for you and must be frustrating given that other do not indulge in your outlook.
Gen I ask someone three questions if they mention there not happy or stressed. 1. Have you done your PT for the day? 2. Are you eating shit and not consuming healthy food? 3. Have you recently done or habitually do gear or weed? If the answer to either of the first 2 is no and the third one is yes, then try turning those around and see how you feel. Not meant to be patronising but honestly endorphins through phys and healthy living is the answer to most things. I try to get in around just 50 mile a week and I'm an insufferable twat to alot of people due to being very churpy alot of the time.
Of course they do, but it can help the problem alot of the time. That's not chopsing of on a keyboard, it's science.
i is a total stress head, i have pretty much stopped drinking because of it. too much going on, too much shit to think about. the comedown after a sesh can make it almost overwhelming. if your drinking daily....
deffo, something we have started over the last two or three years. walking somewhere new, totally gets my head out my ass
Aye beers are mandatory am not saying live like a monk but you know, in small amounts and all that. At least once a week mate I get off my absolute trollie.
Must admit I've been cycling to work last 2 weeks(6 miles there and back) and I do feel better for it.
Happy days. I hate a bike if its missing an engine but on occasion I'll Hit the watt bike if I've been doing too much impact. BTW geez on coombe on like the 7th of Aug and brands 15th of Aug if your about, 27th this month knockhill also.
Try to think about the bigger picture. If you don’t like to fail then developing a sustainable pace is important. You need to be able to ‘let go’ at the end of each day. If sheer quantity of work is the issue, one thing that helped me a lot was to organise myself using lists. The goal was to at any point be able to completely lose my memory but know that I’d still be able to complete all my tasks as they are written down in lists. This is an idea stolen from a book called Getting Things Done. Having these lists allows me to completely let go and empty my mind at the end of each day. If I do go for a run, a ride, or whatever, I know I can empty my mind and not lose anything at work the next day. It’s pretty amazing. Happy to talk to you about it if you think it might help.
