    • Only five hundred individually numbered 'Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916' bikes will be built
    • The unveiling, to take place on Friday 12 July during this weekend's American round of the Superbike championship at Laguna Seca, will be attended by four times world champion Carl Fogarty
    • Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team riders Álvaro Bautista and Chaz Davies will compete on bikes with a special livery inspired by the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 10 July 2019 – It's twenty-five years since the Ducati 916 made its first appearance. A bike destined to transform the world of motorcycle design and to make fans all over the world fall in love. The 916 was uniquely stylish, elegant, light and technologically innovative: a true pillar of Made in Italy motorcycles.

To celebrate this key anniversary, Ducati will present the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916. This limited edition will consist of only 500 individually numbered bikes and will sport an original livery and exclusive racing components. The motorcycle will be presented on 12 July at Pebble Beach, California, at 8 p.m. (PDT).

The Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 will be unveiled in the presence of 'King' Carl Fogarty, four-times winner of the World Superbike Championship with Ducati in the 1990s.

During the World SBK race at Laguna Seca, to be held on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July, the Aruba.it Racing-Ducati team will pay a further tribute to the 916 when Alvaro Bautista and Chaz Davies' bikes take to the track with a special livery inspired by the graphics of the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916.

  1. Is this the S or the R motor? Don't get the 25 degree bit either

  2. I think the degree sign is equivalent to "th" in English - so 25th ;)

  3. Does seem slightly strange to celebrate the 916 with a V4?

What next, celebrate the 999 with a Multi??

  4. Really not sure what the connection is between the latest V4 & the 916,but fully understand and appreciate the 25 year bit bah, bah. For me this was a very special moment in ducati's race history/road sales and should not be messed around with, prostitution is a loose word but this smacks of it.Other members have alluded to an all american rider for this role, unless of course Bautista can win the world superbike title this year but unfortunately jonny just hit him with a left hook & probably looks like he will be on the canvas for sometime.:(
    Ducati you must try harder!

  5. Anyone put their letters of intent in for these yet?

  6. I suppose that the V4R is the direct descendent of the 916 as the model being campaigned as "Superbike" in the world championships. From that view it's the logical model... if the Foggy* is an R. Wonder how CCM feel about their brand ambassador's infidelity?...

*noted that it's not a Fogarty edition... but it is isn't it.

  7. It's a base model V4 with some carbon parts, a paint job and a numbered yoke.

  8. It was the same with the 25th anniversary Monster: special paint and seat cover, but less power and goodies than the 1200R.

  9. The picture of Fogarty sitting on 'a' bike has electronic suspension ? Andy

  10. The Multi is far prettier than the 999, so not really applicable. :eyes:

  12. Doesn't his wife have a financial interest in that company:thinkingface:

  13. Brilliant... that explains that then. I did wonder about the Foggy edition and WTF that was all about. Also it seems (from Missenden Flyer interview with Henry Cole) that CCM change their models so often so they can keep SVA rather than have to homologate. They're a rum bunch.

  14. Tell me more. I'm expecting to be a little flush in a few weeks as I've just planted some magic beans I bought from a guy by the side of the road. :) :upyeah:

  18. Do you think this will be an R, or is someone in the know that it’s an S for definite?

  19. From the pictures released, it has electronic suspension but no provision for wings. I’ll ask the question of my dealer tomorrow but I wouldn’t hold my breath for it to be anything other than a tarted up V4S. Andy
