I have just taken back 2 carrier bags of medicine to pharmacy that I was over prescribed after a sort out It gets prescribed and then you got told you don’t need it anymore The waste that goes on on hospital is unreal It’s a throw away culture that’s taken advantage of by many people working in the NHS.
But on the plus side it's a culture that allows my youngest brother to buy a brand new Audi TT every 2 years Ps - I'm being facetious and if it was down to me I'd kick him and his department right up the arse and get value for money!!
While in Cheltenham a microwave was provided for the staff to warm up anything that we needed or made porridge in it Someone damaged it i don’t know who but when staff asked for a new one they were refused another We patients said we would have a whip around and buy one to which the powers that be said no as it had to be signed off or something like that The staff on the ward bought one between them in the end just so they could make sure us patients got what we needed
Having said that apparently the crutches for infants, eg the little or short ones, are recycled in the Far East Purely for Honda, or more specifically for one side of a MOTO GP team.. LCR Honda’s Cal Crutch-LOW.. x
I get a monthly prescription. I got a wrong item a few months ago but took it back when I picked up the next prescription. I said I hadn't opened the packaging, but they said they couldn't use it and it would be destroyed. It was clearly still sealed. 100% waste.
I just got told that they added up the cost of the meds in the picture and it totalled £2780.. crazy and annoying .. x
