Finally had some motivation this morning on the work front & did a few hours removing the vegetation from the front/side/part rear garden a rerun from four odd months ago.My new fancy neighbour that's a Hop,skip and a jump away has some very ornate wrought iron gates.
Tools down just before midday with my usual runout to the coastline,plus lunch with the squawk box.

 

A day sorting stuff, bagged up a load of old clothes having been through my wardrobe and drawers, sifted through a load of crap that has come through my letter box and was accumulating in the lounge and then sat down and cleaned, waxed and polished 2 pairs of Daytonas. Should be picking up the Diavel from MR tomorrow so a busy day in store refitting the petrol tank and body work, hoping the misfire has been cured. Andy

 

Thats some nice iron work.

 

They're very old but just not sure if original or notwill stop tomorrow & inspect the forgework.

Fitted some carbon belt covers to the SL, having sent back the 1098 ones the supplier sent in error!

Then had a 40 mile test ride to make sure they were ok ......

 

Nothing as yet, going to give it a miss for a while and start looking in the new year.
The Thurston 1200r has caught my eye and having been with Ducati for for the last twenty years it’s time for a change.

 

It looks a great bit of kit in the flesh but not checked out the road reports as yet,just make sure your happy with the foot peg / handle bar position before you purchase.

Round trip (the long way) was about 170 miles. Making the most of the end of summer.

 

Been shafted by a customer today.

Been bending over backwards for them over the last 2 years, sorting their messes out and helping them grow their project and give them what they actually require. End goal was to secure a framework agreement for supply over the next 3 years and some loyalty in return for our hard work.

Found out today they are now going to tender for the up coming projects but all the development work and learning curve we've gone through will now make it easier for other people to compete against us.

We may still win it but just feel a bit deflated with the whole thing and interest rapidly disappearing.
