I only need the rear and am making do with a Dymag for the time being, until BST come up with a solution!
They do seem to sell at that price recently, and what better than a set that we all know have been lovingly mollycoddled - quite simply as good as new for a lot less GLWS
I've just got a quote for the same pair for $3550 USD. I think that means your pricing is about right - but then again I'm a bit thick
Brad Black (aka Brad the Bike Boy - http://www.bikeboy.org/performance.html ) said the least costly way to improve the speed and performance of a 748 etc was C/F wheels. If you haven't heard of him follow the link to his body of work.
Only selling as I have a nice set of mag alloys to go on. They really are one of the best mods you can do to these bikes, both performance and looks wise.
