  4. This is pretty special. Lovely sensitive use of liquorice all sorts.

    You can spell Denzilla/Denzilina however you choose as I have a real name (potentially just as silly) of my very own to be concerned about ;)

    In fact I am experimenting with some more distinctive spellings myself. Denz'illah, perhaps?

  12. I got punted off a bike back in 2012, broke both legs, rotator cuff injury and also T3-T5 compressed spinal fractures... They hurt the most.

    Needless to say I still ride sportsbikes without any issues, the only problems I have is standing or sitting for any length of time and I start to get some aches in my back.

    GWS and good luck with the recovery.

  13. They are certainly hoarding, but who wouldn't want to hang onto the special orange and yellow numbers?

    An early update today as I am on my way home - should be going back to work tomorrow.

    Denzil is making good progress today. He seems a lot more comfortable, including when eating, and walking is much improved. He has done 4 sets of up and down the physios' stairs which has pleased them. It's looking like he could be home in the next couple of days - hopefully the right time within the next couple of days, whenever that may be. He now has an enormous bruise on his lower back, just below the wound, and his legs are beginning to ache although the only bruises we can find on them so far are clearly from the armour in his boots and leathers.

    He mentioned to me that there was something on here about donating old/bashed up helmets for training purposes? Once the dust has settled fully he is keen to put his scraped up one to some sort of good use, and we will also be getting rid of mine (it's older than would be safe anyway so somewhat overdue).

  17. So sorry I forgot to respond to this.

    @Denzil the Ducati

    I’ve not got time to go over all 8 pages but I hope you’re ok as it sounds like a bit of a scary one.

    If someone has rear ended you then it’s highly likely they’re liable (via their insurance company). As a general rule you can claim for your pain, suffering and loss of amenity (PSLA), damage to your bike and gear, lost earnings and medical treatment.

    When you feel up to it, PM me and I can recommend you a few firms of personal injury solicitors so you can get the ball rolling. You have 3 years from the date of the accident to issue proceedings so don’t leave it too long, especially as a medical report is always needed in PI cases and though it sounds like you’re pretty banged up, the reports carry more weight if the claimant is examined while still injured. Addendum reports can always be obtained later if the prognosis didn’t turn out to be accurate.

    Please do make sure you PM me as a significant proportion of PI solicitors are....well, I’ll keep my opinions on that issue to myself. But out of all the advice I can give you, picking the right firm of sols to handle your claim is probably the most important at this stage.

    GWS
