  4. We use a whole fleet of Makita cordless tools, torque and impact drivers at work as we have all the compatible batteries, chargers etc. They get a massive amount of abuse and not one has failed yet. I was in the process of upgrading everything to Festool these last 12 months but their cordless range is not as broad so I have only got as far as the saws and construction tools. Plus I am far too tight!

  5. I'm the same Joe I have the twin charger and half a dozen 5AH batteries. Even my chainsaw and chopsaw are Makita twin battery powered.
Slidesaw for me next as I borrowed my mates the other day...…..now I need one!

  6. Just bought the 2nd last one :upyeah: too cheap to ignore, last time I had a crank bolt off (wife's old Juke) my breaker bar was well bent before the bolt broke - time I had one of these :D

  7. Be interesting to see if they have any more stock - it said I had bought the 2nd to last, so that would mean you got the last one - probably takes a while to update on ebay. I would guess he gets more in all the time, looking at his feedback.

  8. Certainly looks like it's a bargain, wait and see I guess.
Thinking what needs undoing now

  9. @Exige 's wallet? But these are only rated to 450nm, so maybe not up to the job.

  10. I said I had the Clarke, I really meant I have that cheaper one you have just bought. They're the same so I didn't see the point in quibbling over colour/brand on here when i mentioned my one. It was only about £5 cheaper than the Clarke when I got mine. My review still stands. You won't be disappointed

  11. re : torque control

I looked at the website to see if there is any kind of torque control , or limiter and it looks like not ....
but I spotted a customer review from Ducati owner " Graham" ..... :)

    https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cla...dR6tVhV36DGIHWL8Vy2GBq0AbXBM7SvRoCRcAQAvD_BwE

I was in a workshop that did classic Brit bikes and I saw a rattle gun in use , with 3 settings ..... so I asked the old boy how much torque you get with the control set to " three dots "
The answer was "FT" ........ and of course I had to ask what it meant :)

  12. We only want them for FL

  13. Well, the generic impact wrench has arrived. No real visible numbers on it but it has spare brushes like the Clarke. Not used it yet. Pics attached.

  14. Mine arrived within 24hrs of ordering it. Vicious brute of a thing it is too, would rip your arm out of it's socket if you weren't prepared.
Interestingly, on page 7 of the manual it clearly states " The Clarke CEW1000 impact wrench"...............

I would hazard a guess that it's identical to the 'Clarke' made in the same factory no doubt, just a different colour and sold under the name 'Moss' as opposed to 'Clarke' to circumvent some restriction.

I'm delighted with mine, for under £45 delivered it's a bargain.
Thanks for the heads up @Roadtrip Scan_20191018.png
