I've just come back to Ducati ownership after a couple of years away, as I've just acquired a monster S4. unfortunately the tank has pin holes all along the back of the tank where I'm guessing it's got an internal breather spot welded in and has corroded where the welds have weakened the tank the big problem is I can't find a single tank for sale , so does anyone know if any other model tanks will fit. from what I've read so far earlier ones certainly won't, but I'm not sure about the later plastic tanks. TIA
@Rawdon I have a spare steel monster tank, I think it is from around 2002 ,an injected 900 model. You are welcome to try it for size. I can post some pictures tomorrow.
@Rawdon , there you go. Not perfect, not the right colour but let me know if you want to give it a try. The rust has not gone deep and appears to be just on the surface in the patch pictured.
