It actually depends on your age; which part of the country and the job that you do.

 

Breakfast/lunch/supper.

 

depends who is cooking. if its my wife its none of the above.

 

Eastenders = dinner
Coronation street = Tea

 

Depends which take away is open, in Essex we use the phone, not an oven.

 

I do mix it up with dinner & supper or eatout if i'm lucky.

 

Dinner must be midday otherwise all those women at school canteens were lunch ladies?

 

When I was young, farmworkers, dustmen and coal delivery men; ie manual workers, would up and about at 5am, have had a very early sandwich and a cup of tea; followed by a 9 or 10am breakfast; dinner at midday; and tea at 5pm, followed by supper at 8pm......off to bed by 9pm.

If I'm talking with my partner it's breakfast / lunch / dinner and she's from Glasgow. If I say tea she thinks its a cuppa.

Otherwise its breakfast / dinner / wine

There's only two meals a day, breakfast and dinner early evening. Coffee and lashings of tea inbetween.

 

Supper is after 9.
