  8. Honestly.........you’ll wonder how you managed without one. We’ve had a boiling tap for about 8 years now. It’s so much more than a “posh kettle” :)

  12. Just been reading the transcript of the BoJo interview with Dan Walker.

To give him his due BoJo is the master of saying absolutely fuck all of any consequence in such a way that it sounds good. Interesting too how things that were “bolted on” during the election campaign are not so much now.

And for balances sake the Labour Party would be back peddling like fuck too if they’d been elected to government.

  16. I have to question the energy in-efficiency of storing boiling water under your kitchen units 24hrs a day.
Yeah it’s nice to have instant boiling water but I’d be interested to know what power it consumes in 24hrs.

It’s not that long a wait for the kettle to boil.

    Call me old fashioned.

  17. You’re old fashioned. We use it in lots of ways, more than making a cup of tea, that’s for sure. We can clean small stuff quickly without having to put the dishwasher on for example.

In terms of cost I can honestly say we never noticed a big increase in electricity costs from pre to post boiling tap.

  18. Got one when we bought this house - wife bought a kettle :D

  19. Good point about cleaning stuff quickly. Don’t scald yourself.

  20. When I was not used to the thing I instinctively went to rinse my hands under it - realised just before I turned the tap :bucktooth:
