  1. Hi
I’m looking at replacing my front carbon fibre mudguard, it’s had a tough life and a previous owner had sliced part of it off!
If anyone has one knocking around, going spare, I’d be interested in buying it, at the right price of course. :)
    OEM, 1997 900ss, gloss finish.
    Ta very much.

  2. Come on guys, there has to be one knocking around someone’s garage?

  3. buy a new one you cheapskate!!! i took mine off to do some cleaning and then reversed the bike over it for good measure... fucked it right up.. got another from carbon king? (i think it was) for 115 quid. really nice.

  4. Yeah trying my luck maybe!
There’s no rush on this just fettling while the weather isn’t up to much!
    Top tip though, cheers.

  5. Nothing wrong with asking but have to agree with chizel A - if someone has an original that would be in acceptable condition to you then most would ask as much if not more than an aftermarket one.

  6. That’s why I referred to it as the right price,

  7. I thought you had refurbished yours with the end result being a happy shiny mudguard.

  8. I did and it did clean up well, however it’s been altered with what appears to be a knife probably to cut out some damage that had occurred.
It still works fine and seems secure enough, so it’s just a vanity call really!
    :)

  9. Have you not considered a repair quote from a professional carbon specialist.

  13. I have a perfect carbon mudguard I'd consider selling. The previous owner didn't like the carbon fibre look so had it painted yellow to match the bike. Awesome paintwork tho.....open to a decent offer if you're interested?

  14. The agreed selling price would always be decent one, but am I right in thinking it was carbon fibre but now yellow?

  15. It is a genuine superlight carbon mudguard which is now yellow!!

  16. Question is how do you remove the yellow paint without damaging the carbon fibre.?

  17. I doubt you would successfully
