  1. I hope Stuart Garner's prison uniform will be silver-grey with thick black lines and thin red lines.

  2. Some probably wouldn’t be so “nice”.

  3. There is also some hope going down this route should you have paid for the V4SS, i.e. over £30,000. Section 75A covers you, with some additional qualifying criteria, up to £60,260 (which was €75,000 at the time it was introduced). Again, you only need to have paid for a part of this on credit card.

  4. More like this one, let's see how he likes to get fecked over fast & hard;)

  5. Update on my case with the credit card company to refund my £2,000 deposit. I should hear back imminently.

It's almost there but they need proof of a contract i.e a receipt from Norton. If I'd had the presence of mind to ask for a receipt there and then at the show in 2018 when I put my deposit down other than the card receipt I'd have my deposit back now.

However; as we know Norton don't do things like proper paperwork, all I have is my card receipt, the transaction, an email from one of the myriad Norton sales people confirming they have my deposit against a Superlight, the letter from BDO identifying me as a deposit holder. I did have the presence of mind to take a picture of the Superlight sales flyer showing the bike, spec and importantly the RRP so at least that's something.

I spoke with BDO who are unsure what if any official records exist but they have said they'll check and get back to me.

It could be enough to issue the refund as is but it's gone to the card lawyers to check, if not I have to wait for BDO to confirm positive that I am a deposit holder in which case I will get a full refund.

Fingers crossed, may the God's smile down, I know that in the great scheme of things I'm one of the lucky ones.

The poor guy who lost his entire working life's pension of £100K might not be so lucky.

  9. The scuzzer who took BHS pensions for a ride was recently brought into line in court. I hope Garner finds the same happens in this case.

  13. They should have tailed him and seen where he went. Tho maybe they did. I expect there will be a Panorama type show on it soon.

  14. They don't normally allow similar names to be registered now - very strange

Ducati Motorcycle Industries or Ducati (Global) anyone? :bucktooth:

  15. There is nothing to stop anyone registering any name they wish as long as its not already taken.

Only Companies House can say No. The administrators will have zero control over that.

  16. Apparently Stuart Garner failed to appear in front of the pensions ombudsman on Thursday, in a hearing called to hear allegations from his pension fund members who fear their retirement savings have been wiped out.

The entrepreneur was scheduled to answer claims brought by 30 members of three retirement funds set up and run by Garner, including that he had repeatedly failed to return their funds when they were due.

Must be a real pisser when you want to help sort out a pension problem you apparently knew nothing about in the first place but not one of your seven Aston Martins will start so you can’t get to the meeting.....

  17. I wonder who owns ‘the name’ or if it’s just a race to companies house once dissolved? How does that work elsewhere in the world? Isn’t there a copyright associated with it?
