Is this because he doesn’t ride a Ducati? In his post race interviews I have always found him to be very honest and down to earth, unlike some of the past and present top MotoGP riders one could mention.
Seems straight down the line focused kind of bloke. Not got the charisma of a Scott, the fuck em attitude of a Foggy or the charm of Sheene. Or a big red Duke.
No, absolutely nothing to do with the make of bike he rides. I just have a dislike for him. I’ve seen a few others have mentioned similar things.
to be fair, you e just nailed in with your comment. That’s what it is. He’s a fantastic rider, no doubt about that!
He has earned his place in the motorcycle racing history books without question, but nothing's going to match the Ducati/Foggy combination of the nineties period....Fact.
Yep, a bit like Casey. Great to watch, otherwise seems a bit of a tit... Saw him last year at Misano after he lost the superpole and he had to do a bit of PR in the middle. Clearly didn't want to be there, scowled like a 3 year old and cleared off as soon as his duty was done. Some would say focussed and they can't all be PR machines like Rossi. I wonder what they'd make of Michael Dunlop if he hit WSBK or MotoGP....
i know fuck all about rea other than what i catch on here as i dont follow wsbs.. that in itself may or may not say something. i know bikes dont grasp the news alot but you'd think a 5 times? world champ would be making a bit more of a profile for himself... unless he is just a miserable fucker... not dissing him here i just think he aint smashing it media wise coz of himself.. fair play though, if that aint want he wants..
like id watch that! he looked pretty fast after he rejoined the race though, (before unjoining the race!) as i say, ive not followed wsb for years but it looks interesting
I've watched the odd race or two in the 2017/2018 seasons, as JR for me....he's killed it off. ..but got back into it lastyear with Alvaro B.
funny aint it? people dont mind a one horse race when its rossi but if its mm or jr it aint fun anymore. must be hard being a sportsman at the top of their game, who just wants to win but has no charisma when it comes to the fans....
I agree but I do think MM has got it (charisma). He has really come on over the years. I put it down the the fun and games he and Rossi have had together.
its a weird situation aint it? i was happy as fuck when he moved up to gp and started winning, but (and not even as a rossi fan) although he has probably single handedly change the riding style of everyone for evermore and despite his charisma , he is lacking that lil something that the world needs.. what is it? i mean i have it obviously but i still cant put my finger on it....
